Sam Jenio Bio
Sam Jenio is our new Director of Procurement and Business Development. He's a proven operations and procurement leader with over 20 years of multi-industry experience. He has an established record of managing and driving high-performance teams while leading successful strategic enterprise programs. For the last three years, Sam has been focused on helping Dental Support Organizations (DSO) leverage scale and drive enterprise value while supporting the practice providers in what they do best.
For the past year, Sam was the Director of Operations Excellence at United Dental Corporation (UDC). Early in 2022, he was recruited to help start UDC, an emerging/startup DSO where the founders have previously launched and exited successful DSOs in Australia, New Zealand and Canada. Given the accelerated growth in this space, Sam sought to leverage my prior experience on the leadership team at North American Dental Group (NADG), a large leading DSO in the United States. In building out the UDC team, he worked hard with the team to establish the firm infrastructure and manage operational, financial and legal due diligence for target acquisitions. When UDC launched, Sam created and achieved board and funder approval on plans for directing four pillars of operations excellence for the services company (Procurement, Real Estate, Clinical Compliance and Learning Management). Prior to UDC and since the end of 2020, he was the Vice President of Procurement & Properties for NADG. Founded in 2008, NADG has 240+ affiliated dental practices across 15 states. Sam's amazing team supported NADG practices by managing a world-class supply base across all direct and indirect areas of spend.
Sam lives in Evanston, IL (just north of Chicago) with his wife Katie, their two girls Sofia (14), Siena (12) and their only son, Bo (3, Goldendoodle).
